I got a reminder to update a resume.   I reset the password and opened the account.   This Emily is searching for employment and is currently a grocery sales lady in the Philippines.   Pro tip: A selfie is not the best choice for a resume profile image.   Also, you will never get job notifications if you use the wrong email address.   Account closed.

I think what I was shared today is someone's thesis.   In Spanish.   I emailed that I didn't know what it was.   I got not one, but two emails from Carlos.

I don't know how dumb you have to be to have something as important as your credit report sent to the wrong email address.    To be fair, it's not the whole report.   I'd need the social security number in order to claim it.  However, I can't get off the mailing list because there is no unsubscribe button.

I got a password change request for Smule.com, for something involving karaoke.  I changed the password as requested.  Then I emailed the company to remove the account.

I wonder if this is the same user as before, signing me up.   Why must music be added to a video communication anyway?

I have been having an interesting email conversation with Emily in Seattle's neighbor.   I received an email telling me that wine was being delivered to her address.   Several clarification emails later, I find that Emily and her husband Carlos have graced my file before, going back to before I started this blog.

I got a Netflix account assigned to my email address this morning.   It was in Spanish.  I changed the password then swapped the language to English.   No personal information or billing information found.    Netflix accounts can't be deleted, so I made up a new email address and saved the profile.   Done.

I have never used a dating service, but today I started getting emails from one.  This Emily lives in Singapore.   After the "Nice boobs" comment, I replaced her profile picture with Orochimaru from Naruto.  Then I deleted the account.

Global PD

I got an email to another teaching tool, Global PD.   I was invited to see a demo.   I emailed back with the address of this blog.   I was taken off this list.   Communication is important.

I got 4 emails in short succession to confirm my Teacher Tool Box account.  She even used my email with the dot.   I can't log into the account without confirming the account.   I'm going to do nothing with it.

I got an email asking to confirm my Pottermore account.   I was able to close it.  It served as a reminder to reregister my account because of the website's format change.   I was able to get all my stats back too.   I'm excited to read the new content J.K. Rowling is putting out.

A person going by the name of Lee set up a tutoring account.   She goes to Graham High with no listed graduation date.   I'm closing the account.

Apple Support

I got an email to provide feedback on some technical support someone linked to my email address.   I did a password reset.  Apple is pretty important.   I talked to customer service and I said I would try to contact them.   They live in California and were born in 1991.  I left them a phone message.

14 emails in a 3 days

I was originally going to write each of these messages up separately, but alas they are too numerous.   Other Emily has been busy.  She wants an iPad, apparently has children, is in need of MAC brand makeup and a stroller, and wants money now.  Maybe it's for her prison admirer.  I have received mail from the following senders:

• InboxPays - This has apparently spread my email address to multiple sites.  Unconfirmed.
• MindsPay Panel - I'll apparently get 3 whole dollars to activate this account.  How about no?
• Leon G. - Some sort of government loans scam looking thing.
• Baby PromoItems - I can get paid $95.75 per hour to use Google?   Really?
• Click4Riches - This email promises $350 bucks to click on a link.  It compliments on clicking ability.
• Mommy's Freebies - This email promises 1 of 3 brand names strollers free to a "select few."
• Click4Riches - This one promises a $75 Walmart card.
• InboxCanEarn - A "Pepsi" survery.  Name your favorite soda to get $100!
• PopularInboxMail - Confirmed mailing of 1 iPad Air!  If you click the prompts.  Then it's not mailed.  Liars!
• PandaResearchReview - I have no idea what panda research has to do with free Yankee candles.
• Deals4NewMoms - This one offers daycare tips plus a $500 Macy's gift card.
• Deals4NewMoms - This one offers free MAC makeup samples and beauty tips.
• GuidetoLenders - This mail is apparently an opt-in ad for home loans.  Emily put her name as consumer. TX
• PandaStudy - I have no idea about this one.   Playing cards and pandas equals profit.  See image below.

I got this email today from a prison telecommunication system.  This is likely an honest mistake by another Emily to communicate with a family member behind bars.   I have unsubscribed from communication from any additional inmates.

I got this strange email this morning to a website that promised to fix all of my problems.   It's apparently a very "honorable" website from somewhere in New Zealand.    I unsubscribed.   For your entertainment, see the full text below:

I just closed a Prezi account that was opened for my email account.   There wasn't a way to remove my address, so I reset the password and closed the account.   There wasn't any contact information in there to give me an idea about its creator.  Was it a student or a business person?   Who knows!?

I can put together an interesting narrative with all the weird emails I've gotten lately.   The most recent one is from Snapchat.   I imagine that this Emily (if all accounts are created by the same person) originally needed a new email account.  She wanted to participate in illicit activities on Snapchat, which later led to the need for medical advice (no matter how sketchy).   Those activities are discovered by her partner, and now she in need of a divorce lawyer.   Yup. I've definitely worked this all out.

This morning I got an emailed receipt for legal services from an attorney in Oklahoma.   I have never heard of a lawyer using Square payments before.   It was a large bill too.   $500.   I was able to disassociate the account from my email address. I also have the other Emily's last four digits for her credit card.
